Our Office is proud to celebrate the exceptional recognition of our Managing Director, Dr. Rodrigo Arias Grillo, as a joint winner of the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award 2024 in the category of Safeguarding Sports from Corruption. This prestigious award, organized by the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center (ROLACC) in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), highlights global contributions to integrity and transparency.
The Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award is an annual event honoring individuals and organizations across five categories:
Lifetime or Outstanding Achievement, Academic Research and Education, Youth Creativity and Engagement, Innovation/Investigative Journalism, and Safeguarding Sports from Corruption.
In its eighth edition, the 2024 ceremony took place in San José, Costa Rica, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
The prestigious award ceremony, attended by over 500 distinguished guests, was graced by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
Guests included representatives from the United Nations, esteemed ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, and global leaders in anti-corruption efforts.
Held at the state-of-the-art Costa Rica Convention Center, the event featured the unveiling of a magnificent 12-meter anti-corruption monument, symbolizing the global fight against corruption.
